There are a few places that are worth traveling half way around the world for. That's quite impressive, alright. In fact, the place is known for its bizarre macaroon combinations that have included foie gras as a filling. So honestly, you can't go wrong walking in a place like this! Pierre Herme' is close to Saint Sulpice so I stopped in after my pastry break. Pierre Herme is now definitely at the top of that list for me. There's nothing particularly vegetarian about this patisserie. She also partners with San Francisco Baking Institute founder Michel Suas on this venture. That's the patisserie's raison d'etre. Be sure to try out the desserts from the Cordon Bleu pastry chef Gwen Lim who has apparently worked under Pierre Herme himself! The reason one goes to Macaron is simple.
